eBay dropping CJ |
| March 20th, 2008 under Ramblings. [ Comments: none ]

|
Many of you might have already known, most of my online income come from affiliating with eBay through CJ. Start April 1st, eBay will no longer run their affiliate programs through CJ and ValueClick.
eBay will launch their own affiliate platform to improve their affiliate community. All the great tools and benefits of working with the eBay program will remain the same – access to the Editor Kit and affiliate API, the flexible destination tool, the great payout structure. In addition, the eBay partner network will provide several new features:
• Easy global registration to multiple countries simultaneously
• New, targeted banners and rich media creatives
• New landing page optimization and geo-targeting capabilities
• More detailed reporting capabilities for eBay’s programs
Let just hope the new change is for the better good and nothing will be effected!

Top 5 Hot Female Bloggers on the internet |
| July 21st, 2007 under Ramblings, Humor. [ Comments: 22 ]

|
When I visit blog after blog, I can’t help to notice the avatar of some commentators. For some odd reason (I’m just a pervert), every time I see an avatar with a hot female picture in it, I tend to click on the picture to visit her blog. I made many visits to many fine female bloggers in the past month. But I am going to narrow it down to give you my “Top Five Hot Female Blogger” award.
What are my guidelines for these girls to make the “Top Five Hot Female Bloggers”?
- They must be ordinary beautiful girls not celebrities
- Their blog must contain their name to make the list. Feels more real with their name as the domain.
- They make money online the real way (without selling sex)
- The quality of their blog
- And of course, they must be beautiful!

5. You can’t have a “Hot Female Blogger List” without having a MILB (Mother I Like to Blog) on the list. I don’t think she even has kids, but I always wanted to blog about a MILB. Summer Hogan AKA ViciousSummer has her own little fashion company Lala Lingerie and Vicious Style selling belt buckles to lingerie. Summer currently resides in Puerto Rico and has a personal blog at Vicious Enterprises
4. The fifth place “Hot Female Blogger” award goes to Sam Breadstone. Sam is a gorgeous blonde (I have a thing for blondes) who lives in Devon, Colorado (or it Utah?). Her blog is fairly new but is quickly rising in Alexa Ranking. This is a great blog to visit to for those who are new to making money on the internet.

3. The Bronze for “Hot Female Blogger” award goes to MsDanielle. Danielle is a beautiful asian girl living in “The OC”, California. She works as a PPC account manager as her regular job in Los Scandalous (still trying to find the city on Google Map). She has built her blog from the ground up and has increasingly become one of the great blog to read.
2. Grace Cheng is the runner-up for the “Top Five Hot Female Blogger” award. She’s a beautiful Asian woman who blogs about Forex Trading. When it comes to Forex Trading, I’m like a blonde trying to screw on a light bulb. Grace knows her stuff when it comes to Forex Trading. She was featured in many high profiled magazines and TV shows.

1.The winner of the “Hottest Female Blogger” award goes to Jane May. She reminds me of a gorgeous movie star when you look at the picture with her walking her dog. Her blog is one of the best blog to read out there. She gives tips on how to make money from blogging. To tell everyone the truth, she has to be my first blog girl crush (blush).

These fine ladies have made it on my “Top Five Hot Female Blogger” list. So I decided to add them to “My Hot Blog Girlfriends” Blogroll. Maybe if they come across this post, I hope they will add me as their Blog Boyfriend.
Ok, I don’t think I have a chance to be their blog boyfriend. But maybe if I write a poem for them, maybe they’ll consider me as their blog boyfriend. I have never written poetry in my life (especially to any hot females), but I’m going to give it a shot. Here it goes!
Roses are red, Summer is cool,
Sam & Jane are hot, Ms. Danielle is too!
Ok that was horrible. I have no skills in writing poetry and you never heard that from me.
After this long post, I think we all learnt something from it. I learnt that if you want to drive traffic to your site, all you have to do is use a hot female picture as your avatar. Sex sells and will never be sold out!

Just a reminder to all of you web entrepreneurs, we have 15 more days to do some good quality backlinkings! Google will do the Page Ranking update at the end of the month or early august.
My goal for this blog after the update, is hopefully to increase my PR from 1 to 4. Increasing my PR to 4 will definitely give me better placement in the search engines and therefore increasing more traffic to my site through SE.

Facebook hit the milestone with 30 million active members on their site. That is very impressive because that’s like every person living in Canada having a facebook account. A while back, Facebook reportly refused $1 billion dollar deal to sell the site to Yahoo, but now I ‘ve read somewhere they are asking in the $2 billion range.
With all the Facebook hype, I’ve decided to create an account for the heck of it. Would you like to be my friend?

What Web Entrepreneurs can learn from Shia LaBeouf |
| July 9th, 2007 under Ramblings, Inspiration. [ Comments: none ]

I recently watched the new summer movie, “Transformers“ and thought it was one of the best movie I’ve seen in a while. I loved it so much that I actually went to the theatre and saw the movie twice. So now I figured that if the loved the movie so much I might as well blog about. So I did a little research and found something inspirational about the main actor Shia LaBeouf from the movie.

Shia LaBeouf, one of Hollywood’s young rising star, grew up with a rough childhood life. His dad’s resume included Vietnam war veteran, drug dealer, radio clown and a rehab patient while his mom was a bead vendor on the street. Growing up in a poor broken family made Shia a stronger kid and made himself realize he did not want to fall in the same trap as his parents did.
With his recent Hollywood success, Shia is still that down to earth guy who is still driving his Camry and living in his old apartment. You will not see him at any Hollywood party scenes but instead rather concentrate more on his acting career.
As web entrepreneurs, we can learn a lot from Shia. We shouldn’t let any obstacles get out way from doing what we love to do. We should just jump over those obstacles (failures) and keep moving forward. Don’t let any distractions get in our way by keeping focus on our tasks. Take each day one step at a time and don’t waste a second of it!

Bill Gates is now the second richest man in the world |

Who knew in our lifetime that someone would surpass Bill Gates to become the richest man in the world. Carlo Slim recently became the richest man in the world with a networth over $67.8 Billion.

The Mexican tycoon, who owns America Movil, Latin America’s largest cell phone operator owned by Slim, had the company’s share price rose 27 percent in the last few months.
Mexico is divided into two divisions. You have the rich making millions of dollars and then you have the poor who are barely making $5/day.

Who Wants to be the next internet millionaire? |

Can we make millions just from working on the internet? A lot of people in this world don’t think so.
Joel Comm, one of the world’s foremost experts on the subject of making money on the internet, and his crew of successful internet gurus are part of an interesting internet reality show, “Who Wants To An Internet Millionaire“. The idea of the show is to take twelve contestants and make them learn everything they need to know from the world’s top internet gurus to become Internet Millionaires . Contestants will be competing for $25,000 in cash and the opportunity to participate in a joint venture with Joel Comm. Wow this has to be a win-win situation. If you lose, you come home with the knowledge and if you win, you get to be partners with Joel Comm in an ultimate venture.
I wish I found out about the reality show earlier because I would love to be taught and trained to make money on the internet by today’s top internet gurus.
The show will be exciting to watch and I’ll be looking forward to catch the premier.

Bill Gates and Tipping |
| June 20th, 2007 under Ramblings. [ Comments: 1 ]

I recently made a trip to Seattle to visit my girlfriend’s relatives. With our money (CAD) being so high to the US dollar, I managed to blow over $500 in clothing (I needed summer clothing :)).

I met one of my girlfriend’s cousin who works at a high-end Japanese cuisine that Bill Gates and his wife often ate at. We all know Bill Gates is the richest man in the world. When you are serving the richest man in the world and you are expecting a big tip from him right? Well you’re wrong, as rich as Bill Gates is, he isn’t giving away his money that easy. The cousin told me that whenever he goes to the restaurant, he will give 5% tip. Yikes! His wife is a little more generous when she tips, she gives a 20% tip. So whenever the server brings the bill to them, they will always hand it over to the wife. And I wouldn’t blame them!

Reviving the blog once again |

About a year ago, I managed to pick up my last name (Ouchs with a dot com) as my domain. How I managed to grab an attractive five letter domain still overwhelms me (just renewed for two more years). Not until October 2006 I started turning the site into a blog. For the first month or so, I managed to put good time and effort into the blog. Posting at least once at day and making the front page of Shoutwire at least once a week was my ritual. Making on the front page of Shoutwire does not compare (traffic) to making Digg’sfront page, but it was a lot easier making the front page of Shoutwire. The traffic was good but it did not fair too well for my adsense earnings. That was the main reason (big mistake) I lost interest with the blog.
Now that six months have passed and after reading John’s Chow eBook (very informative and it’s free to download!), I am going to revive my blog and give another shot. Now that I am more motivated and more wiser, I think this blog’s life will last longer than the last. This time I will blog what I am passion about (the internet, business and investments) and I will not mainly blog to make money. If I do start making money from this blog, I promised John I will donate my first $100 (what I think his eBook is worth) earning to his beer fund.
