How many days does it take for google to update PR?
Hopefully my PR will increase for the next update
What makes a site have good page rank? Is it based on the number of backlinks. And does bookmarking a site have anything to do with it?
Just some questions I have.

I think it’s too late for most of your backlinks to effect the upcoming page rank. Pages created at this point usually don’t update until the preceding page rank update. One misconception is that the toolbar Page Rank is actually the real page rank. Google basically has it’s own “live” pr that they use in the algorithm.
Yes, from what I hear Google has already taken a snap shot of our sites. My PR won’t change until the next update.
PR doesn’t very importance
If you think that PR isn’t important then you might be living under a rock.
A Pagerank 7 website can sell for 10 - 50 times that of a PR 1 - 3 website. Additionally pagerank does help you rank in the engines and it does give you quicker indexing and power in the blog world. Beyond that, PR can also up the market value of selling links on your website if you’re into that kind of thing. So in summary, unless you have something to back up your opinion that PR isn’t very important, you probably need to do some research and learn about what you’re missing.

Question regarding your Alexa rank.
My chart has your blog ranked at #221,931 - a very high ranking for anyone, let alone a PR0 / PR1 site.
How have you managed this?

Alexa rank should be meaningless. Do a google search on “How to manipulate alexa rank” and you’ll be on top in no time!

i have seen changes in my PR and its is true to say that the google system is now updating, at http://www.googlebugs.com there are results and stats that show this has happened.
